Oddly enough, you can actually use the Cyberbike with Mario Kart Wii. If the Wii Wheel wasn’t doing it for you, now you can hop on your bike and pedal that…kart…or motorcycle. Yeah, I don’t understand it either, but I guess it’s a good thing for those that are looking to get in [...]

This is obviously a screen from one of the retro-themed challenge levels in the game. I can’t wait for this game to release! Thanks to Greenyz for the heads up!

Two big games hit the DS very close to one another. Nintendo’s juggernaut ‘Mario and Luigi’ series continued with its Bowser’s Inside Story entry, and 5th Cell finally released the much-hyped Scribblenauts. I’m sure there are many of you that are still splitting your time between these two titles, but which one ends [...]

Bowser wins.

I got to try out Bowser's Inside Story (getting it on Friday) and I've owned Scribblenauts since day one. Bowser's Inside Story was hilarious and fun while Scribblenauts was just fun. The former had a lot of funny moments while the later was better as a Sandbox. :\

Do you still play Smash Bros? Apparently a lot of people still do (and more every day). I'm also surprised at how consistent Guitar Hero III is.

I KNEW IT. There is never a day when I don't see people playing Brawl online.

There’s a developer blog update for Flipper, the DSiWare title from Goodbye Galaxy Games. This blog update has to do with game pricing… I’ve been looking in to some other things as well regarding the Flipper projects. One of them is the price point. I wanted it be 200 points, badly. Even though the game [...]

200 point ($2) games would be awesome, I hope Nintendo doesn't put stupid restrictions on the developers. And why would the filesize of the game have anything to do with it?

Our friend Jeremy Parish has just put together a love-letter to 2d gaming, and he’s chosen Shantae as the star of the show. I am so happy to see people picking up on this game, and it’s very clear that Mr. Parish is excited about the game. He also happens to believe that [...]
StevenbotMP40 V.2
I don't have a DSi or the original copy of Shantae.
Both games looks good. Makes me sad.

No, GoNintendo are independent from Nintendo.

“We received word from our stalwart contact at [publisher] Atari that the valiant efforts to rescue the data servers for N+ DS and PSP [from Silverbirch] and reinstate them on-site at Atari have failed, and since the project has unfortunately been something of a financial failure, the community servers are not a priority and will [...]

One day there will be a huge graveyard of useless console games after their servers are unplugged. Though PC games will survive since you can usually host your own server.

For those of you that want to remember the Cube, you can now grab yourself a purple one for Animal Crossing: City Folk. Good to know Nintendo cares enough to add this bit of history in! Thanks to Pugwishbone for the heads up.

For 14 teams of three young men, salivary testosterone and cortisol were assessed twice before and twice after competing in within-group and between-group video games that simulated violent male–male competition. Men who contributed the most to their teams’ between-group victory showed testosterone increases immediately after the competition, but only if this competition was played before [...]

Yeah, because salivary testosterone totally overrules your frontal lobe.
Someone here hasn't read his studies. Give me a day to find my psychology textbook and google and I'll find ten studies to replace that.
But eh, studies. Like sand on the beach.

Perhaps this patent means that we’ll finally see the console version of Taiki Drum Master in the states? An inflatable drum seems like a much better idea for the Wii than an actual drum peripheral. That is, as long as it works well.

Anyone have any idea what this tiny corner building is? It’s an important part of history, but you’ll have to hit the jump to get more details. This is the building where Nintendo started, way back when. I think they’ve expanded just a bit since their early days!
Francis
Yes but 1933 was when Nintendo had it's first real "factory", the building above.
