"You've seen the Tower Of London gameplay footage by now, so you know we are going to have to breach the Traitor's Gate and penetrate the depths of the Bloody Tower to find the Raven Of Dee's Secret Bunker, but you've never heard of St George's Yard.

St George's is our hell within hell. Survivors here are unwilling participants in a twisted game in which they are thrown to the infected. Our multiplayer arenas are a spin-off of this mission in the campaign." - story director Gabrielle Shrager

I really think the multiplayer, even without the regular online features of most FPS games, is going to be something special. Don't dismiss the local multiplayer in this game!

- start looking for safe haven while wandering the abandoned streets of London
- as zombies ambush you, a mystery man using the city’s CCTV network alerts you of the nearby London underground train station
- start off unarmed and on a mission to find this mystery man
- you'll encounter an ex-survivor turned undead
- this is where you get your backpack
- swiping the backpack tab on the Wii U pad will engage the backpack menu
- organize your gear by dragging and dropping onto your quick-select slot on the pad
- game doesn't pause while you're looking through your backpack
- eventually reach a makeshift safe house in the one of the security rooms
- this is the hub for the majority of the game
- use the CCTV network and monitor the surrounding areas for supplies and zombie activity
- you can also use the hub to store items and weapons, upgrade character perks (weapon handling perks in particular), apply mods to your guns, and sleep to rejuvenate your character
- next mission is to head to the local supermarket to collect supplies
- characters you play as are randomly generated
- this includes their own name, gender, occupation, and costume
- when you die, you'll see a results screen showing how long you lasted and how many zombies you took out
- you'll then start as a new survivor in the safe house
- you'll have to re-find your backpack on the zombified body of your former character
- dying before successfully looting your previous character will result in the loss of that particular set of gear
- scanning device uses the GamePad's gyro sensors
- hold up the GamePad vertically and shift it around to scan the environment for clues and loot
- 18 different functions for the GamePad
- first weapon you get your hands on is a cricket bat
- guns are slow and awkward by design
- ammo and supplies are limited
- game will save your progress constantly
- zombies left unharmed from previous areas will be there for you when you make a return
- one grab from a zombie will spell the end of your survivor
- zombies are of the slow-moving variety
- you can run past them, vault over obstructions, and duck into rooms to evade them
- you can push them back which can cause them to stagger
- screamer zombies summon more zombies
- eventually acquire a vaccine with saves you once
- swapping weapons and items is done from quick-select icons on the touch screen

Content descriptors: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language

Other:
Includes online features that may expose players to unrated user-generated content (Wii U)

Rating summary: In this survival horror game, players assume the role of London inhabitants in the wake of a zombie invasion. From a first-person perspective, players scavenge the city and use realistic firearms, explosives, and melee attacks to kill waves of zombies; battles are highlighted by loud shrieks, impact sounds, and large splashes of blood. Players can also perform finishing moves to dispatch downed zombies: stomping on/bashing in their heads in with a cricket bat. Attacks often result in decapitated/dismembered bodies, and dead enemies continue to incur damage when shot. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” can be heard in the dialogue.

Okay, we get it, there are hell of scary zombies in this game. I think we're good until release day, Ubisoft.

This trailer shows a Nov. 13th release date at the end. We all know Wii U isn't coming out until the 18th. Consider this either a mistake, or we'll have the game a week earlier than we can play it!

It's like all the other zombie apocalypses, except British-er. And minus Cillian Murphy.
