The MotoGP series' tank hasn't hit empty yet - in fact, it's boosting onto the PlayStation 4 in June with MotoGP 14. It will be the first MotoGP game on the new generation of consoles. The game will also appear on the Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita and PC.

According to a press release, the upcoming game will feature a redesigned engine that will affect graphics and audio, more than 100 riders and 18 tracks. The MotoGP 14 official site claims the game will also have Career, Grand Prix, Time Attack and online multiplayer modes. In Career mode, riders will have virtual fans that update their opinion on your performance in news and social media feeds.

Galak-Z, a top-down shooter from Skulls of the Shogun developer 17-BIT, is now coming to the Vita handheld.

At PAX 2013, Dave took Galak-Z for a test drive through the cosmos and described the game as "like a sped-up version of Asteroids on psychedelic drugs." He praised the game's tight controls, sharp enemy AI and the omnipresent threat of something unexpected blowing your tiny ship into component bits before you're even aware of that stray laser blast or grumpy space worm. That last bit makes a lot of sense in light of a recent PlayStation.blog entry from Galak-Z producer Raj Joshi who names delightfully infuriating indie hits Don't Starve and Spelunky as key inspirations for the shooter.

Alongside the newly-announced Vita version of Galak-Z, 17-BIT remains committed to launching the game on both PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. Unfortunately, the most concrete release window Joshi is willing to assign Galak-Z is sometime "later this year." [Image: 17-BIT]

Following Senran Kagura Burst, XSEED is localizing more clothes-ripping action for North America in PS3 and Vita game Akiba's Trip 2. The action-RPG is titled stateside as Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed, and it's due on retail shelves sometime this summer.

It's an interesting localization given XSEED's reluctance to bring the first game (released on PSP) stateside, but as the publisher points out, the sequel features a standalone story. It's set in Tokyo's electronics hub of Akihabara, where vampire-like Synthister creatures are feasting on the otakus. If you feel like stopping that from happening, you can destroy the Synthisters by beating them up and, yup, removing their outerwear - no they don't die from embarrassment, but from being exposed to the sun.

For the record, a NSFW trailer of the Japanese version shows male and female Synthisters prowling the streets of Akiba, so no vampires are safe from a strip. The North American version is confirmed to feature Japanese audio, but XSEED says it's looking into dual audio.

The PSN update this fine Tuesday includes Awesomenauts Assemble and Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition for PS4, as well as South Park: The Stick of Truth, Master Reboot and NASCAR '14 for PS3. Vita gets Hatsune Miku Project Diva F, and PS3 owners can now enjoy dragons, prohibition-era crime and the ultimate pessimistic detective with the HBO GO app.

We learned about Awesomenauts Assemble late in January, and it includes seven new characters, a new map and "improved" controls, Ronimo Designer Fabian Akker said. It goes for $10 on PS4. For PS3, Master Reboot is a neon-covered, sci-fi horror game dealing with death and computer viruses, and it's $15. South Park is $60, and it speaks for itself.

Games and DLC in the Call of Duty, Need for Speed, BioShock and Grand Theft Auto series are on sale at varying points in March for all PSN users.

The sale spans five games in the Need for Speed series, each down to $9.99 ($5 for PS Plus subscribers) tomorrow through March 10. Fez lands with huge, happy grin on PS3, PS4 and Vita on March 25 in the US, Polytron Producer Marie-Christine Bourdua announced via the PlayStation Blog today. Fez hits European Sony systems on March 26. The port comes from a collaboration with Blit Software.

"The PS4 version is what we consider to be the best-looking and smoothest Fez experience you can get on a TV set, running at beautiful 1080p (and yes, 60fps too)," Bourdua said. "You wouldn't think that upping the resolution would make a big difference in a game like ours, where the pixels are the size of Gomez's fist ... but it really does look even crisper and blockier - in a good way."

The game itself remains unchanged from its original XBLA or PC versions, though the PS4 iteration has a few gimmicks: The DualShock 4's lightbar brings "a little bit of Fez's world into your own home," and judging by a picture that means the bar matches the dominant on-screen color. The newest version of Fez supports a late-game easter egg without the need for red glasses, and it runs on 3DTVs. It supports cross-saves among all three Sony platforms. Man, how long has it been since you've thought about Cel Damage? Released as a launch title for the original Xbox in 2001, Cel Damage didn't quite rank in the same league as Halo or Project Gotham, and likely resides in the hazy regions of your brain devoted to remembering games like Mad Dash Racing and Fuzion Frenzy.

Toronto-based developer Finish Line Games bets that a number of players have fond memories of trading blows in the classic car-combat game in between Halo matches, announcing that Cel Damage HD is due for release on the PlayStation 4, PS3, and PS Vita.

Cel Damage HD brings its cartoonish brand of cel-shaded, Twisted Metal-like vehicular mayhem to Sony's current crop of consoles with 13 levels and six playable characters. Online multiplayer hasn't been confirmed, but is a likely addition. Cel Damage HD will be available as a Cross-Buy release when it hits the PlayStation Network this spring.

PlayStation portmaster Curve Studios has announced it's working on PlayStation versions of Facepalm's indie sci-fi puzzle game, The Swapper, due on PS3, PS4 and PS Vita sometime in late May.

The Swapper strands players on a damaged space station called Theseus. With only a handheld cloning device at their disposal, players must search for a means to escape. The device creates up to four clones at any time and allows players to swap control between them, granted the clone in question is within the original player character's line of sight.

The Swapper's visuals employ hand-crafted clay model animations, which helped Facepalm to produce one of the most visually stunning experiences of 2013. The Swapper is currently available (with controller support) for PC, Mac and Linux on Steam for $15, or as part of the current Humble Indie Bundle.
