And now, finally, they've made their way into Animal Crossing: New Leaf—the low key life simulation game where you become mayor of a town of creatures. Or technically, only one sloth has made it in. Leif. Leif runs the gardening center according to the 3DS Facebook page, which is currently profiling some of the important figures in New Leaf.
Shame that kills my dream of having a town full of sloths—I mean, really, as if there's any other animal that matters! Better having Leif than nothing, though. After ignoring them so long...well, Sloths might be cute:
But it's a ruse meant to distract us from how easily they could kill us with their claws if they wanted.
So yeah, good job, humanity.

- QR codes from around the world will work on any 3DS
- down payment on your first home requires 10,000 bells
- you are greeted by various people at the train station upon arrival
- they'll inform you that you're the new mayor

- start off by gathering seashells for your assistant Isabelle
- museum takes a cut of the bells you make on items
- now the museum can house more bugs, fossils, and fish than ever before
- add more expansions to your home
- you have twice as many fruit varieties
- everyday, the town's resources replenish themselves
- boat trips to a remote tropical island return
- purchase a wet suit to go diving
