*crag* me sideways, this is an amazing demo. Sprite rotation, compression effects, even a orgy of chiptune awesome.

Not bad for an 8-bit computer with 128k of memory.

EDIT: Shit gets real at 1:49.

EDIT 2: Well, vomit up a 9 iron and call me Magdeleine, this was coded in 1997!?

Alpha_StevO

I watched until 1:49.

I did not see any fecal matter materialize...

Best *crag*ing Christmas ever.

despite their "leftist," "communist" views, they're making millions of dollars selling their albums world wide.
They defend themselves by arguing that in order to spread their message through a capitalist system, they need to operate with a capitalist currency, despite piracy being rampant; they could virtually distribute their music for free and the same amount of people would still here them.
That is true hypocrisy, and goes to show that no real "leftist" is "leftist." A fair amount of capitalism and market competition will always need to exist for a healthy economy; neither extreme is a good thing

The speed rapping reminded me of that one boss battle from Einhander.

Bet you weren't expecting that. I won't beat about the bush, as there really isn't much arrangement or deviation in these conversions of classic rock tracks, but Tim did a sweet job of bringing them to the SNES.

Now here's the Bionic Commando you didn't hear. Tim's arrangement made the game feel more intense and urgent. The home computer ports were based on the mildly succesful arcade version. Tracklist: - Title Screen - End Of Stage! - Game Over - No Idea - Danger! Keep Out! (Stage 1) - The Forefront (Stage 2) - Infiltration (Stage 3) - Control Tower (Stage 4) - Stop The Missile! (Stage 5) - What A Hero! (Game Clear)

Sounds like Sega gamegear. Hurts my ears.
MattTheSpratt
Keep listening, the music quality starts to skyrocket halfway through Danger! Keep Out!.
And The Forefront might be more than a bit familiar...

Regarded by many as his best soundtrack, Tims' interpertation of the original music bring out a whole new subtlety previously unheard of in the arcade and Genesis versions. It's also worth mentioning that the first level theme is completely different and the rest of the tunes last significantly longer before looping. Tracklist: Video 1 - Intro Theme - No Idea - Continue - Take A Key To Come In! (stage clear) - Stage 1 - Stage 5 Video 2 - No Idea - Stage 2 - Stage 4 - Ending Theme - Stage 3 I apologise for the lack of order.

Probably the most impossible music to come out of a computer game, this 1-bit (yes, the Spectrum had only a simple 1-channel 10-octave "bleeper" to generate sound) intro theme literally set the target for Speccy sound designers to aim for. Shame the game itself is a bit vanilla.
Popple
Someone should remake it as not shit.

Also, this was a budget title at £1.99, so crapness can be half-forgiven.
