This is no joke -- Tecmo's babe simulator beckons you to come on over to the PlayStation Network next week. Dead or Alive Paradise will be releasing on UMD on March 30, with a PSN version to arrive (very) shortly thereafter on April1. If you must buy the game, we recommend getting the PSN version -- you don't really want to leave incriminating evidence like boxes around, do you? And besides, we're pretty certain you don't want to fumble for a disc when you're getting ready to play.

Just in case you're not exactly sure what you're getting yourself into, we posted a video after the break. We highly recommend you don't watch it at work, or in front of other humans that you want to respect you.

Here is this week’s PlayStation Video Store update. For new arrivals this week, we have a bunch of new releases movies that should suit everyone’s interests. There’s George Clooney’s The Men Who Stare at Goats and Fantastic Mr. Fox; Brothers, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Natalie Portman, and Toby Maguire; The Blind Side, starring Academy Award Winner Sandra Bullock, and the wildly popular The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Gaming really becomes reality this week. Throughout the series, the gamers have been tested on the skills necessary to become an effective tester. This week, the ability to maintain concentration in a busy environment (and, man, does it get busy in First Party QA!) is put before the gamers by way of paintball.

In The Tester – Episode 6 “Focus, People, Focus,” the remaining five (Amped, Cyrus, Doc, Nauseous, and Star), are evaluated on their individual ability to keep it together under fire. And, to scrutinize if their aim is true, SCEA Managing Producer Kyle Shubel joins the panel to witness who’s in the ‘Killzone.’

As we get closer to the season finale on April 8, every moment (and shot) counts for the remaining contenders.

The Tester is available in both Standard and High Definition formats from PlayStation Store and also showing in PlayStation Home – Theater 8, where another free cast T-shirt will be rewarded. Hey The Tester fans. It’s Thursday, which means the wait is over for the next episode of The Tester.

Game developers know that the ability to thrive in almost any situation and use creativity to problem-solve are key qualities necessary to work in quality assurance. Testers must be able to adapt and create scenarios to fully analyze a game.

So, what better way to take people out of their comfort zone and assess their creativity than with a surprise live-action role play? That’s right, things definitely get dramatic this week as the remaining 7 gamers use random props, their wits and sheer guts to entertain and impress the panel.

And to help evaluate the performances, PlayStation Home’s Katherine de Leon joins Brent Gocke and Hal Sparks on this week’s panel. Katherine oversees the creation of environments and virtual merchandise for the platform. An RPG veteran and former US Marine, she brings strong opinions and her d20 to this challenge.

And finally, many of you have been asking for dynamic themes, and this month, all Qore subscribers can access a new Heavy Rain dynamic theme. For those of you familiar with the game, this dynamic theme takes place at the crime scene, complete with patrolling officers, police cars, and plenty of rain, of course. Even if you haven’t gotten into Heavy Rain yet, this dynamic theme is still pretty cool on its own.

Don't want to wait for a Blu-ray disc from Netflix? Wish you could watch an HD program instantly (provided your internet connection is robust enough)? The PlayStation Store will be updated today with HD movies for purchase from all six major studios. Previously, movies for purchase were relegated to SD options, whilst HD movies were available exclusively for rent. According to a press release from SCEA, "PlayStation Network is the first to offer high definition movies for purchase from all of the major movie studios," including 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney, Paramount, Sony Pictures, Universal, and Warner Bros.

The HD update will be available today on the PlayStation Store in the US, with "plans to launch soon in the U.K., France, Germany, and Spain." (Sorry, Canada!) While we still prefer owning Blu-ray discs, this downloadable option is yet another way for people to access content.
