PS Vita owners, rejoice! The big day is finally here, and Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f is available today for download on PlayStation Store for PS Vita in North America!
The game releases on PSN today for $29.99, and for all you European readers, it will be available next week on March 12th in Europe! If you’ve never heard of this game before, here are the basics: Take the world’s most popular digital singer, add in over 30 of her most beloved songs, turn it all into a super-addictive rhythm game, and you’ve got Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f. We released the game last August on PS3, and following huge support from fans, we’re so excited to finally bring you all the PS Vita version of the game today!
We’re also very excited to announce our DLC Cross-Buy promotion, effective immediately for anyone who owns the Snow Miku 2013 DLC or the Extra Characters Pack DLC for the PS3 version of the game. If you already own this DLC content, you’ll unlock it for free when you pick up the PS Vita version of the game! (And vice versa, if you pick it up for PS Vita first.)
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f also comes with a built-in video editor mode, aptly titled “Edit Mode” – here, you can build your very own rhythm game tracks and music videos with all the in-game tools at your disposal! PS Vita owners will also be able to share and download their Edit Data with PS3 users!
Some of you were wondering if we’d bring out the Extra Songs Pack in the West – and we’re happy to confirm not only that it’s available today, but that we’ll be releasing it for only $9.99! We lowered the price on this compared to the Japanese release, because we wanted to ensure that PS Vita owners weren’t paying any more for the full Project Diva experience than their PS3 brethren. We hope you all will enjoy it!
This pack includes the songs below, with four difficulties for each:
Thank you all so much for helping this Miku dream of ours come true. You’ve been nothing but supportive from the first day we asked for your likes and shares on our Facebook post, and since then, we’ve come all the way to the launch of Project Diva, not just on PS3, but finally today, on PS Vita, too.
It’s a journey we’re so humbled to have made, and so thankful to have traveled with all of you behind us and supporting us.
Happy Miku Vita Launch Day, everyone, and thank you, once more!
Awesomenauts is making a major comeback today on PS4 in the form of Awesomenauts Assemble! If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you’ll get the added bonus of a 20% discount during the first week.
Awesomenauts Assemble! combines modern, team-based multiplayer with classic, alien-blasting action. You’ll play as one of 15 interstellar mercenaries, each with his or her own unique abilities and upgrades. In battle, you’ll team up with two other players. These can either be random players or friends, both online or offline through splitscreen. Together, you’ll be facing off against a team of enemy players, automated turrets, droids, and the local wildlife as you try to blast your way forward towards the goal of destroying the enemy base. And you’ll do all this on lush, hand-drawn alien worlds.
If you last played Awesomenauts on PS3, you’re definitely in for a treat. The game has seen an almost complete overhaul, from the menus and balance to the netcode, everything has been improved. On top of that, a lot of content has been added compared to the original release. Awesomenauts Assemble! more than doubles the amount of characters, while also adding a new stealth-focused map and awesome, downloadable skins.
New character additions include Gnaw, an adorable alien dog-creature that can dominate areas with his acidic spit and spawnable minion turrets. Skølldir, a big space Viking whose groundstomp shakes the very planet, has also joined the team. Then there’s Ayla, a devious little girl with unimaginable psychokinetic powers. Just make sure to get out of her way when she becomes enraged. These are just a couple of the examples of new Awesomenauts you’ll be able to play with, adding more variety to a roster that was already varied.
And even more characters are underway! As you may know, a big expansion to the PC version of the game was funded through Kickstarter last year. This expansion included five new characters, custom game settings, and a brand new map. We’re happy to announce that content from this expansion content will be making its way to PS4 when development on that is further along!
When we first created Awesomenauts, our vision was to bring the fresh experience of the MOBA genre to console. And we wanted to do it in a way that fits consoles, by making everything more direct, more skill-based, more colorful, and — in the end — more fun. After we launched Awesomenauts on console back in May 2012, we moved it over to PC, and we’ve been expanding on it ever since.
Now, over a millions copies later, we’re happy to finally play the updated version from the couch again. All thanks to the amazing porting abilities of our friends at Abstraction Games, and of course, the power of PS4.
We’ll see you online!

Hi PlayStation.Blog readers! I’m Daniel Posner, reaching out to you from Toronto, Canada. My long-time friend, Rich Hilmer, and I recently co-founded a brand new indie game studio called Finish Line Games. Along with guru programmer friend Matt Robinson, Rich and I have been working on a passion project over the past few years, and we’re super excited to announce the fruits of our labor: Cel Damage HD, a high definition re-release of the original, vehicular combat game that debuted back in 2001.
It’s cold in Toronto at the moment, but spring is right around the corner. We’ll be celebrating the end of the cold with the explosive launch of Cel Damage HD on PlayStation Store as a cross-buy purchase for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. That’s right, buy it for one system and you can play it on all three!
Some of you might remember this timeless classic, but let me refresh you on everything Cel Damage HD has to offer. Part Demolition Derby, part Whacked-Out Cartoon Come to Life, Cel Damage HD allows you to play as up to 10 crazy characters/vehicles with more than 30 over-the-top weapons. Play in either Smack Attack (deathmatch), Flag Rally (capture-the-flag) or Gate Relay (race), across 13 fully-interactive cartoon environments.
In addition to being a cross-buy product, Cel Damage HD supports cross save so you can pick up where you left off on any system. Play on PS Vita to master Cel Damage HD’s chaotic gameplay on the go, then go destroy your friends in 2, 3, or 4-player split-screen multiplayer on PS4 or PS3. Cel Damage HD truly shines in split-screen play. Like an instant party, this game brings back the shout-out-loud, couch chaos gaming experiences of a cherished era — now in full high-def goodness!
I want to give a big shout-out to the original Cel Damage team and say thanks for such an awesome time and so many fantastic memories. This re-release is dedicated to all of you.
To find out about all the latest game happenings, please follow us on Facebook and Twitter. And of course, check back here — we’ll have more to share next month!
I think the best way to start off any new month is with two free PlayStation Plus games. For March we have Dead Nation: Apocalpyse Edition for your PlayStation 4 and Tomb Raider for your PlayStation 3. If you’re unfamiliar with the original Dead Nation, it’s a top-down twin-stick shooter that’s best experienced with a friend. Make sure you’ve got a strategy and plenty of items before you head out to take down hordes of zombies. The Apocalypse Edition was just announced last week, will be hitting PlayStation Store tomorrow, and it has some interesting benefits like an interactive live streaming option.
Then we have last year’s critically acclaimed reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise. Witness Lara’s growth from young archeologist to bad-ass adventurer as her expedition gets shipwrecked on a mysterious island. Lara has to do a lot to survive, including live through several impalings, explore her surroundings and hunt wildlife.
You can download Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition and Tomb Raider after the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow.

For the most part, players can explore the world of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn at their own leisure. But what would an MMO be without some group content? In this blog post, we’ll introduce you to the numerous activities that can only be mastered in groups of four to 24.
The realm of Eorzea, with its three city-states, is far-reaching. It has many hidden corners and crevices in which the wicked can find a welcome foothold. Be it the manor of a lady, so struck with vanity that she exchanged sanity for it, or an abandoned mine overrun with beastmen — adventurers are in constant demand, and there’s always something to do.
Throughout the game, adventurers will also come across the so-called Primals. How these god-like beings are called into the realm is an important part of the storyline, so we won’t give too much away.
The best known example of the sheer destructiveness of the Primals was the coming of the Seventh Umbral Era, brought forth by the elder primal Bahamut, who was freed from his prison in the lesser moon Dalamud. A single, massive battle with Bahamut reshaped the face of Eorzea forever. What happened with Bahamut after the battle, no one knows…
DungeonsAdventurers don’t just become famous by fulfilling the quests of the general populace. Have you ever heard of dungeons? Enemy-infested abodes and holes in the ground. What does that mean for you? Simple — grab three of your friends and cleanse them, for fame and fortune!
Dungeons are instanced. That means only you and your group — with a total size ranging from 4 to 8 — will be able to enter. They are generally harder than what you’d find in the outside world, but they also give unique rewards like equipment that you can’t find anywhere else, and massive amounts of experience points.
So what if you’ve missed one? Or out-levelled a dungeon? No problem; each Dungeon has a “maximum level.” Should you exceed it, you will be levelled down to the appropriate level.
And you don’t have to run to the dungeon every time you want to enter it. After you’ve unlocked the dungeon, you’ll find it in the Duty Finder, where you can queue up with random players — although you may find it preferable to build your own group.
And what about the endgame? Well, about a quarter of the dungeons are Level 50 based, and some of them are available in hard mode — but we wouldn’t want to spoil the fun, now would we?
RaidsWhat would endgame be without Raids? Right now, there are two in the game: the Labyrinth of the Ancients within the Crystal Tower, a 24-man raid for three distinctive groups of eight, and The Binding Coil of Bahamut, an 8-man raid for the most dedicated groups. But it also delivers the best equipment currently available…
The Binding Coil of Bahamut is for those of you that are experienced in group play and want a real challenge, as only a few groups have managed to push beyond the final boss at this point.
With future content updates, which are currently planned to be released every three months, we will constantly expand the endgame landscape.
PrimalsThroughout your travels, you’ll come across the Primals — god-like beings, called to the world by the beast tribes through means initially unknown. These challenging fights never fail to impress, and many adventurers have found their calling in sending these infernal beasts back to where they came from.
But it doesn’t end with that… Not only are there Hard modes for the Primals, but also the elusive and extremely difficult to master Extreme modes. Do you think you’ve got what it takes?
All of this content is available to you conveniently through a tool called the Duty Finder, so you can re-experience them at any time, help friends to master them, and find companions to battle your way to the top.
Enjoy your time in Eorzea!
