The first video goes into the creation of the story, which takes place 30 years after the original Killzone trilogy.

The second video looks at the intricate development process for characters in Killzone Shadow Fall.

We hope that you’ve enjoyed our behind-the-scenes videos for Killzone Shadow Fall. The game is out in stores now along with PS4, so we hope you’re able to get one of each in time for the holidays! MyCAREER has been one of NBA 2K14‘s most-played modes. The question is, with the next generation of technology, how do we create a fresh experience beyond playing games on the court? Creating a new cinematic experience that rivals a Hollywood film – that’s how!

With over 300 pages of script, MyCAREER on PS4 takes you on an emotional journey like you’ve never experienced before. Our goal was to place you IN the game. From competing on the court, to decisions you make off the court, the experience has been expanded in an immersive journey through next gen technology.

For example, early on you may not get the minutes you want as a rookie. As your team calls a timeout, you have a decision to make – remain sitting or get up and celebrate with your teammates. Each decision affects the way you are viewed both from your team’s viewpoint and the way fans look at you. This is just one of many deep decisions you make, with your actions opening up hours and hours of completely new content both on and off the court.

10464002343_c1a49cb662_z.jpg

Things like personality, choosing to answer in polite ways or with arrogance, fans liking you, endorsements and personality badges all factor into your decisions. Even choosing which endorsements to sign with (ala adidas, Nike or Jordan brand, for example) have an effect on your career. Your decisions even affect things like potential trades, social media feeds and endorsements and MyCAREER relationships (team chemistry, GM relationships, loyalty with local and national fans etc). Things like rhythm and team chemistry can impact the way your team plays. The first year experience will take you through all 82 games, and you can chose to play Key Games in the second season onward.

Simply put, MyCAREER lets you make decisions about your NBA career like never before seen. Of course, this is just a small taste of the exciting next-gen MyCAREER mode. We have plenty of surprises up our sleeves. You can grab NBA 2K14 on PS4 right now! Get your journey started and make a name for yourself. This is your story. Your legacy. Your career.

Give me a follow on Twitter @Ronnie2K for all the NBA 2K14 goodness. Thanks for reading!

Hello, fellow miners! In case you missed the news, PS3 owners can now get their hands on Super Motherload and dig up some Martian gems with their friends.

In the wake of the PS3 launch, and to treat our players on PS4, today’s post is all about tips and tricks — helping you to maximize your mining (and edging out the “friendly” competition). Follow these tips and you’ll have your gold Trophies in no time!

Faster, Stronger: Dig straight shafts down to expedite returning to the surface. It’s often worth the cost of bombs to ensure a better tunnel for speedy, collision-free travel.

Efficiency = Much Better: Fuel consumption is highest when digging and flying. Refrain from revving the engine when descending and stay still while figuring out puzzles to conserve fuel.

Make a Small Fortune: Consider your actions carefully when solving puzzles. A careless blast can render the reward irretrievable and result in bomber’s remorse.

11178478154_197c4e3f45_n.jpg11178459866_432d2126af_n.jpg

Be More Cautious This Time, Comrade: C4 destroys a 5 area, TNT destroys 3, and Shaft Bombs destroy 1. This can can mean the difference between grabbing valuable gemstones and wiping worthless dust from your hull.

Best Improve Yer Game Plan: Using DualShock 4′s touch pad to detonate bombs is much faster than cycling with the bumpers. Beat your “comrades” to the best loot by swiping Left for TNT, Up for C4, Right for T-Bombs, Down for Shaft Bombs and Clicking for Electron Bombs.

Ooh, This Don’t Look Safe: Lava is usually best avoided, but it can be worth trading a few scorch marks on your hull for tasty rewards when you’re low on bombs.

I Regret Everything: Steel plates can be melted with Electron Bombs, but the remnants are still hot enough to deal damage. Shrewd miners know to blast away the remnants with explosives before proceeding.

11178602183_5f48542af3_z.jpg

Cheat Death: Upgrade your fuel tank whenever possible, and watch your fuel like a hawk. You’ll need a well-equipped digging machine to make it in hardcore mode — ideally with an unlocked character. You may have to start a few games with the same character to earn enough cash. Teleporters are your friend.

A Vehicle to their Undoing: Different Specials are available at shop bases each game, and multiple playthroughs are required to collect them all.

A Lucrative Selection: Each unlockable character has a different special ability that will come in handy on future missions into Mars.

Thing o’ Beauty: There’s a secret shop that’s more well-stocked than others.

It Can be Cruel Beneath the Surface: Be prepared for the deepest depths of Mars. Plenty of bombs, an upgraded rotor, high hull strength and a decent radar will help you in reaching your destiny. Good luck, comrade; the fate of Universe is in your hands.

Super Motherload is available now for PS4 and PS3.

Hi there! Greg Johnson again. We here at HumaNature Studios are excited to finally announce that Doki-Doki Universe will be available next week on Tuesday, December 10th for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. In Doki-Doki Universe you play as the adorable robot QT3 on a quest to learn about humanity with the help of Alien Jeff.

The full game, available for $14.99, includes the story mode, 31 personality quizzes, and the Doki-Doki Mail messaging system. Or if you prefer to test out the waters before diving in, you can alternatively download a free version of the game — the Starter Pack — which includes 16 personality quizzes, Doki-Doki Mail, QT3’s home planet, and a tutorial planet. Doki-Doki Universe will support cross buy, so once you download the game on one system, you’ll be able to download it at no additional cost on the other systems.

In the spirit of the upcoming launch, I’ll be joining the PlayStation.Blog team to do a live playthrough on December 10th. Check out the official PlayStation channel on Twitch to watch and ask questions. We’ll also be giving away voucher codes for the full version of Doki-Doki Universe!

We thought we’d share a sneak peek at one of the many little stories you’ll encounter as you travel around Doki-Doki Universe as QT3, and one that’ll we’ll also be sharing with you on the live stream next week. This story seemed especially appropriate for the holidays as it has a wintery theme, as well as a theme of love and acceptance.

11197649126_5ec51f7779_n.jpg11197639494_1ee131ee41_n.jpg

This story takes place on a planet called Brrr. As QT3, you’ll encounter an insecure young snowman named Junior, who is ashamed of the fact that he can’t stand the cold. Junior is afraid to tell his father, as he’s sure his dad would never understand.

Meanwhile, his father is worried because Junior is always getting sick, and he doesn’t know why. In this scene, you help them resolve their problems by conjuring up items and helping them to communicate. As we play through this new level on the livestream, we’ll show you how QT3 ultimately helps Junior and his dad.

We hope you enjoy this little preview, and we’re looking forward to our big release day. Everyone at HumaNature Studios wishes you a warm holiday filled with love, acceptance, and happy snowmen.

Tearaway has been out now for about a week, and what a phenomenal response it’s been getting. We’ve been quite blown away by the great reviews and kind words from everyone, so thank you all!

We launched Tearaway.me last week, and since then we’ve been watching as all your photos — both from in-game, and of your papercraft models — came flooding in. They’re amazing.

We know you can be a creative bunch, but it’s amazing to see what everyone’s been up to. One of the most incredible things to see is the way everyone has customised their messenger, and we’d like to share some of the most impressive ones we’ve seen so far. It’s well worth browsing through all the pics on Tearaway.me to see more, and please send us pics you’ve been taking — maybe post them in the comments below!

If you haven’t yet grabbed your copy of Tearaway, it’s out now.

In what is shaping up to be a historic year for gamers, I’m delighted to share an important new milestone with you. PS4’s North American debut on November 15th was PlayStation’s largest ever, with more than one million gamers picking up a PS4 in just 24 hours. Now, with PS4’s global launch expanding to a total of 32 countries worldwide, including Europe and Latin America, I’m proud to announce that more than 2.1 million PS4s have been sold.

It’s an impressive and record-setting accomplishment for our company and for our industry, and we couldn’t have done it without you. I want to personally thank PlayStation fans, both old and new, for your vote of confidence. The best part: the PS4 journey has just begun. In addition to an incredible lineup of PS4 games from the best developers in the world, we will continue to introduce valuable new features and services to PS4 in the months and years ahead.

While PS4’s capabilities will continue to evolve, our commitment to gamers and breakthrough entertainment remains steadfast. We believe that videogames represent the pinnacle of artistry and entertainment, and we will work tirelessly to make sure that PlayStation remains the best place to play.

Thank you for your passion and your support — we couldn’t have done this without you.

Codemasters' Grid 2 will be the free game available to PS Plus subscribers this week. The sequel launched back in May, some five years after the original, for the PS3, PC and Xbox 360. Feel free to give our review a read if you're looking for more information.

In addition to the usual free game, PS Plus subscribers can check out a bunch of different deals after PSN updates tomorrow. Remember Me will be under $20, Terraria will be down to $3.75 and Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be under $10. As for the rest of the deals, they can be seen over on the PlayStation Blog.
