GameFly has listed NBA Jam's PS3 and 360 version for release Nov. 18 and while that's most likely a placeholder date, the fact a rental service listing the game indicates it will be a retail disc release, not a download. More »
Why does every Kotaku thread turn into spam and rage? Kotaku is far better than Joystiq and Destructoid. Anyways, this is pretty big news. NBA Jam on the PS3 and 360 was supposed to be a much smaller game, but after the whole issue with NBA2K11 they added more features. Most people just assumed it was going to be a downloadable title.
Giantbomb never reported it would be on disc. Anyways, it should have been a download, but they will make far more money on shelves as people walk by and are like "oh hey it's nba jam, BOOMSHAKALAKA!, good times" and shell out what will probably be $60.
Giantbomb reported that NBA Elite 11 had been cancelled and without any other basketball game coming out this year it was more than obvious that this shit was going to stores.
