Quick question: Now that MCSharp is open source, should I have a go at creating custom content for the server? I'm not brilliant at C#, but I'm willing to have a go if you guys would like extra features.
Right, first I'm gonna work on a few internal things that'll help with running the server (restart command, enhanced log, physics command for ops), then I'll start adding new features. The url for the beta server will be the same as the old server (the one I ran on my PC). Don't expect it to be on constantly though, since it'll only be up when I'm testing stuff.
Yeah, I've seen the logs and knew you guys would appreciate that. So far I've managed to make /physics usable by ops, upgraded the log so that it records how many blocks a player builds and destroys each session (this will greatly help me in tracking down griefers) and modified /whois and /whowas to also display alts that the user has.
The bad news: Crazy spai's been having trouble with his VPS, so the server is currently down and may stay down for a little while. The server appears to be back up now, but I don't know how stable it is.
The good news: I've moved the new server files into place, so as soon as the server is brought back up the new features will be ready.
Next feature needs to include the ability to build admin blocks off of admin blocks because It makes it impossible to fill something up with a substance
Just finished the latest version, it'll update when Crazy Spai gets my PM and restarts the server (also, guest building has been reenabled):
On joining, the server will now tell you how many other players are online.
Developers and Supporters now have custom username colors (except when the user is an Op or SuperOp)
Modified heartbeat data so I can keep track of all servers using the custom MCSharp software.
The server will now alert Ops and SuperOps if the server software becomes outdated.
Temporarily disabled /restart since it was not working correctly.
Again, it's mostly internal stuff, but I'm about ready to start working on game features now - post any features you would like in this topic and I'll see what I can do (Keep in mind the more complicated a feature is the longer it will take for me to code it).
Dynamically Loading Levels (Load and unload as needed) - Done
Portals - Done
Reserved Slots For Operators - Done
Server Software Namechange - Done
Possible Public Release?
In other news, I may start signups for the spleef tournament soon, and goron, if you're referring to the adminium at the floor of the level, I think the building restriction on that is a clientside thing, not a serverside thing.
Portals are working, but there's still a bug or two that I need to fix.
And be nice to the guy who hosts the server for us, if it wasn't for him there would be no server at all.
Crazy Spai's been having trouble paying for his server lately, although our server won't be affected (he'll move it over to his local pc if need be) I'm sure he'd appreciate it if you would consider making a donation - once he's downgraded it the server will cost $20/month.
Crazy spai's currently looking for a better provider and had to take the old one down, I'll speak with him and see if he can get the server running on his home pc soon.

YES
YES
While we're waiting, here's a full changelog:
I believe that's all the changes for this version (if I've forgotten anything I'll add it when I remember it), but I still have plenty more ideas.

Just a quick update to help with griefspotting:
As always, the changes will be applied once Crazy Spai restarts the server.
I would be.
Although I'm usually asleep when most people are on.
I haven't gotten the opportunity to participate in any spleef games, but I would be interested in a tournament none the less.
SIGN ME THE F*CK UP
Going for a major update next version, including:

it generates a singleplayer level when i try getting into the server now
why is it down
crazyspai said it'd be down for about an hour or so
dunno how long ago that was
hell if i know, he just said he'd take it down for a minute
And be nice to the guy who hosts the server for us, if it wasn't for him there would be no server at all.
