Dang, that's a lot of lava. At least the server's up more than a few hours a day.
Also, what kinds of commands does OpenCraft have? I was using MCSharp which had plenty of useful commmands for building and antigriefing, but lacked the portals of some of the more advanced servers.

open craft can let you script and code your own stuff to make it the way you want, for example with a few tweaks to the code i can make one sponge suck up a ten block radius, or higher.Its basically a open source minecraft server.

I look forward to seeing the stuff you can come up with then.

OpenCraft is java right? I'm afraid I don't personally have much experience with that, but if I ever come up with something that could be useful for the server I'll let you know.

also now when you clear away an item under water, an air bubble floats up, and the water physics themselves are much more realistic.
