The guy was wearing a bullet proof vest and a gas mask and was holding his gun openly, but nobody suspected anything because of all the cosplayers at the event. Not sure if he was actually dressed as Bane though.

There are reports of the shooter apparently having dressed up as or claiming that he is the Joker; you would have to have more than a few problems to want to emulate the qualities of the Joker, not to mention missing the entire point behind film.

I'm expecting a large amount of "SEE THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE VIOLENT MOVIES AND VIDYA GAYEMZ THEY INSPIRE STUFF LIKE THIS" bullshit in the coming weeks.

I had heard that the guy was "dressed completely in black". I haven't seen all of the DK trilogy (parts of the first and second films, but not the third) but that doesn't sound like the Joker to me.

Saw a news report that the police have reported he apparently dyed his hair red and called himself the Joker. Seems to be lot of different reports going around.
